Network Access Control

Network Access Control

What is

Network Access Control

?

Network Access Control (NAC) is a cyber security technology that helps protect networks from external threats. NAC works by monitoring and managing user access to the network. It ensures only authorized users with the right credentials can gain entry, while also preventing malicious programs from entering. NAC allows organizations to set policies that specify who has access to certain resources, such as which computers or applications a user can access. By monitoring user activity, NAC can detect suspicious behavior and take appropriate action to limit potential damage from malicious actors or viruses. This helps organizations prevent data breaches, minimize losses due to unauthorized access or misuse of assets, and comply with regulatory standards for data security. With NAC in place, organizations can feel confident in their cyber security posture and better protect their critical assets
